As part of its prestigious partnership with the German automobile brand, BALL Watch Company presents a new model in its exclusive collection, the BALL for BMW TimeTrekker. This new model blends design and functionality, fundamental values of both the watchmaking and automotive industries.
A refined design makes the time easy to read in all conditions. The textures and depth of the dial and the case have been inspired by models of cars and echo the finesse and simplicity of the automotive industry.
It is an exercise in pure style, realized by the designer Magali Métrailler. This design masterpiece is a skilful combination of recognition, identification, ergonomics, comfort and a keen sense of proportions.
Its steel case with a diameter of 44 mm and a thickness of 13.45 mm makes this a sporty and chic watch that can be worn in any situation. A transparent sapphire crystal case back with the BMW logo reveals the movement, adding a meticulous touch of elegance.
The rotating bezel in pure ceramic with a black chrome finish makes it easy to count down a given amount of time. For example, the rotating bezel is perfect for checking the duration of one’s parking time. The unidirectional rotating bezel is also a guarantee of security that prevents an unintentional manipulation from accidentally prolonging the duration of a time period.
A pioneering BALL Watch technology for the treatment of ceramic allows the numerals and the graduation of the bezel to be coated with a powerful luminescent paint. The ceramic also gives the bezel exceptional resistance to corrosion, scratches and UV rays.
14 micro tubes of H3gas have been placed on the dial and hands. This luminosity technology requires no external energy source and is up to 100 times brighter than the luminescent paint normally used in watches.
The design of car dashboard counters can be found on the dial of the watch, as well as other subtle touches of textures and finishes. The grooved crown is easy to turn and strongly recalls the control buttons found inside cars.
This model brings together hour, minute, second, day and date indications. The day and date are aligned with the BMW logo in a nod to the graphic identity of the famous German brand.
Like all models in the BALL for BMW collection, it is fitted with the Amortiser® shock absorber system, which means the watch can be worn when playing sports such as golf. Its Swiss movement is COSC certified (Official Swiss Chronometer Control), testifying to the precision and reliability of this mechanical watch.
The watch can be mounted on a steel bracelet or a rubber strap. It is available with a black or blue dial.
