Eberhard & Co. Extra‐Fort Automatic New Dial Versions

New dials now enhance and complement the Extra‐fort Automatic range, the time‐only model from one of the watchmaker’s oldest and most emblematic collections. With these new dial versions, Eberhard & Co once again expresses its taste for elegance and for harmonious forms and colours which, through the classic appearance of the Extra‐fort Automatic, reaffirms values which will last over time.

The range now includes three brand new dials: “argenté”, black and grey, for a sober but sophisticated style. The dials also feature Roman numerals together with rhodium‐plated indices in the outer area, ensuring clear legibility at all times.

The “azurée” finishing, a decorative technique applied to the surface of the outer area, together with the “frappée” finishing in the central area, creates a compelling contrast of colours and styles and transforms the watch in a perfect marriage of craftsmanship and modernity.

The Extra‐fort Automatic has an automatic mechanical movement protected by a 40 mm diameter steel case, and is waterproof to 50 metres. The caseback is fixed with six screws, it has a screw‐in crown and the dial is protected by a domed sapphire glass. The new look is completed by an alligator strap ‐ available in black or brown ‐ or a “Chalin” steel bracelet.

The Extra‐fort collection was created in the 1940s. Since then various commemorative editions and reinterpretations have been produced, featuring sophisticated technical solutions such as the column wheel chronograph and the “rattrapante” (split‐second) version.

At the beginning of this century, in response to specific market demand for smaller, more simple watches, the Extra‐fort range was expanded to include a non‐chronograph version with just time and date functions, the emblem of a classic look which has gained many admirers among lovers of fine horology.
