With the Teutonia II Großdatum Chronometer Mühle-Glashütte presents a business timepiece that displays greatness in minute detail. As a novelty in the successful Teutonia family, it is available with dial variants in the colours silver and midnight-blue. The limited edition of 250 pieces gives the timepiece an exclusive character. In addition to this, this timepiece has a certification according to the German Industrial Standard for wrist-chronometers by the Glashütte observatory. With the Teutonia II Großdatum Chronometer, high precision and the best readability meet classical elegance and a balanced understatement.
The large display of the date at twelve o’clock position builds a harmonious contrast to the small seconds hand at six o’clock position. Embedded in a lavishly guilloched, silver-colored dial, this arrangement exudes tranquillity and creates a classic balance. However, the purpose of the guilloche is not solely decorative, but also serves to give further structure to the dial. As a result, this design also fulfils another quite practical function: It supports reading of the time at a glance. The blackened hands are a clear and distinct contrast to the delicate, relief design of the dial. Hand applied indices put elegant accents in detail and are bordered by a case with a diameter of 41 millimeters made of polished and brushed stainless steel. A high-quality crocodile leather strap with a stainless steel butterfly clasp gives the classical appearance a leading part.
The Teutonia II Großdatum Chronometer contains a lavishly regulated and in six positions screened Mühle-movement. This movement possesses an in-house rotor and the patented woodpecker neck regulation, which is equipped with fitting balance cock. After the completion of the components, the careful assembly of the movement and the precise on-site timing check, the timepiece is additionally put to the test according to the German Industrial Standard for wrist chronometers. At the historical site of the Glashütte observatory, each timepiece is tested for rate deviation under alternating temperatures and in different positions for 15 days.
Therefore, every Teutonia II Großdatum Chronometer that leaves the Mühle factory is a certified chronometer according to the German Industry Standard (DIN) 8319-1 which defines accuracy criteria for mechanical wrist watches. This is an exclusive feature, which is increased by the limited production of 250 exemplars. Besides the classical model with a guilloched, silver-colored dial, an exemplar limited to 250 samples will be available in midnight-blue, whose dial is furnished with a solarisation surface finish.
