Seiko Watch Corporation presents a new limited edition Astron GPS Solar Chronograph watch in partnership with Giugiaro Design.
First shown in Baselworld 2014, the new chronograph version from the Seiko Astron GPS Solar watch family features advanced exterior design and houses a technically advanced 8X series caliber.
The Seiko Astron GPS Solar Chronograph is one of the most advanced wristwatches in the world. It is an ideal sports watch for the global traveller as it adjusts to your time zone at the touch of one button and a 6-hour chronograph function.
Giugiaro Design has been known for their avant-garde creations in many fields. Created in collaboration with this world renowned design house, the new Astron GPS Solar Chronograph limited edition (SSE037J1/ SBXB037*) comes with a titanium case.
Measuring 44.6mm in diameter, the sleek and lightweight case encloses a high-legibility dial whose newly-designed Arabic figures and color accents add the flair and sporty style. Sculpted into the shape of a sports car wheel, the solid metal case-back carries the inscription “Giugiaro Design Limited Edition” and the watch’s individual serial number.
Each watch comes with a titanium bracelet with ceramic insets and a separate leather strap. The UTC time zones are marked on the interior dial ring, while the bezel is a tachymeter for the instant calculation of speed. Global precision meets motor sport design in this avant-garde creation.
The Seiko Astron Giugiaro Design GPS Solar Chronograph is a limited edition of 5,000 pieces. It will be released along with six other new Astron Chronograph models.
