The Big Pilots’ Watch Perpetual Calendar Boutique Edition Miami (Ref. IW502640) was exclusively created to mark the inauguration of IWC Boutique Miami Design District in 2015.
With its yellow hands and indices, the power of this watch is clear simply from its appearance. The imposing timepiece in stainless steel case incorporates complex technological features, including a perpetual calendar with a four digit year display, a perpetual moon phase display and a 7 day power reserve. The perpetual calendar takes into account all the leap years in the Gregorian calendar until 2100. All of the displays can be easily adjusted via the crown and advance automatically.
The moon phase display shows the state of the moon in the northern and southern hemispheres. Ticking away inside the stainless steel case is one of IWC’s largest automatic movements, the 51614 caliber, with its efficient Pellaton winding system.
