Japanese watchmaking empire Seiko unveils two new models (SSE021J1 & SSE019J1) from their popular Astron GPS Solar line. These new versions in titanium house Seiko’s latest GPS Solar Chronograph movement, Caliber 8X82.
Launched in September 2012, the Astron GPS Solar is the world’s first GPS Solar watch. At the touch of a button, it receives signals from four or more GPS satellites, identifies the location and adjusts to your time zone. At the Baselworld watch fair 2014, Seiko unveiled the Astron GPS Solar Chronograph collection.
Now the brand adds two new limited edition chronograph models: SSE021 & SSE019.
The two new Seiko Astron GPS Solar Chronographs boast bright dials and striking colour accents. The white model (reference SSE021J1/ SBXB021*) has ten diamonds on the dial and a soft, well-padded crocodile leather strap. It has a super-hard coated titanium case with a white ceramic bezel. Limited to 1,000 pieces, Seiko SSE021J1 is the first Astron GPS watch designed for women.
The men’s counterpart (reference SSE019J1/ SBXB019*) comes with a black hard coated titanium case and bracelet. Limited edition of 3,000 pieces, this black Seiko Astron GPS watch stands out with its gold toned crown, push buttons and dial details.
With the serial numbers engraved on the case back, each of these 2014 Resort limited edition watches are offered with a special presentation case.
