Detroit Watch Company presents its signature timepieces: the 1701 and the Pride of Detroit Aviator models. Inspired by the cultural and historical riches of Detroit, Detroit Watch Company has picked the founding of Detroit in 1701 and oil magnate—and Detroit native—Edward Schlee’s 1927 Stinson-Detroiter Monoplane, “The Pride of Detroit” to represent the beauty and strength of the Detroit Watch Company’s timepieces and the city itself.

The 1701 Edition

The 1701 Timepiece Series pays homage to the early beginnings of Modern Detroit. The Detroit Watch Company’s 1701 Launch Edition Timepiece comprises a polished 44mm case, automatic self-winding movement with power reserve indicator, 24hr subdial, and date window. The classic timepiece features a Crown with black and silver Detroit Fleur-de-Lys. The face feature Roman numerals and the band is Calfskin leather with deployment buckle.

The Pride of Detroit Aviator

The Pride of Detroit Aviator timepiece symbolizes the adventurous spirit and the strength of conviction of Detroit native and oil millionaire, Edward F. Schlee and pilot Billy Brock, who, with their Stinson – Detroiter monoplane, attempted to circumnavigate the globe soon after Charles Lindbergh’s historic Atlantic crossing (the Stinson – Detroiter can be seen at “The Henry” museum in Dearborn, Mich.).

The classic pilot watch comprises a polished 44mm case, automatic self-winding movement with date window. A mark of the Detroit Watch Company, the Pride of Detroit features a modern pilot crown with embossed Detroit Fleur-de-Lys and an embossed Pride of Detroit plane graphic on the case back. The face features raised Arabic numerals and the band is Calfskin leather deployment buckle.
