Independent Swiss watch manufacturer Oris enhances its aviation inspired ProPilot range with the new Big Crown ProPilot Chronograph GMT, a modern cockpit watch loaded with indispensable flight worthy features.
Combining function with precision the discreet black dial houses a chronograph with the stop second hand as well as the minute and hour counters in red distinguishing clearly the chronograph function and enhancing its legibility.
The small second at 9 o’clock remains white corresponding with the minute and hour hand. The hand with the yellow airplane tip reaches out to the outer dial ring to indicate time in another time zone, i.e. home time, on a 24 hour scale.
Crafted from a heavy-duty multi-piece stainless steel case with a matt satin finish, the Oris Big Crown ProPilot Chronograph GMT features a coin edged top ring inspired by the powerful turbine jet engines that propel aircraft into the skies. Case back and crown are reminiscent of an airplane’s turbine jet engine.
Oris’ latest flight watch is completed with a textile strap featuring the unique, patented folding clasp based on the design of an aircraft safety belt.
The Oris Big Crown ProPilot Chronograph GMT watch houses the automatic Calibre 677 based on ETA 7754.
Visible through the exhibition case-back and endowed with chronograph, GMT/ dual time-zone and date functions, this 25 jewel movement offers a power reserve of 48 houses.
The watch is also available with a stainless steel bracelet.
