Seiko honours its brand ambassador Novak Djokovic by introducing a special edition Astron GPS Solar Chronograph timepiece.
The new Novak Djokovic Limited Edition (reference SSE022J1/ SBXB022*) is the latest addition to the Seiko Astron GPS Solar Chronograph collection introduced at Baselworld 2014. It houses the newly developed the 8X82 solar-powered GPS chronograph movement. Like all watches in the Astron collection, it adjusts to every time zone on earth at the touch of a button.
The 8X82 caliber offers two new functions – a six-hour chronograph and an electronic function in the crown for even easier adjustment of the secondary functions. Furthermore, the new watch is 30% smaller in size than the existing 7X caliber. This size has been achieved by a new advance in Astron’s energy-saving technology which allows the watch to connect to the GPS network with a smaller antenna.
The Novak Djokovic Limited Edition has a 44.6mm diameter rose-gold toned case, black ceramic bezel, and an extra-strength silicone strap. The case-back carries Novak’s name and signature with each watch’s own serial number engraved beneath.
The Seiko Novak Djokovic Astron GPS Solar Chronograph is a limited edition of 2,500 pieces. Each one comes in its own presentation box with a personal message from Novak Djokovic.
It will be released in November 2014, and will be presented at leading Seiko retail outlets worldwide.
