Swiss watch maker MIDO unveils a special edition timepiece to pay homage to the greatest symbol of Rome, the Eternal City A limited edition of 1,918 for an exceptional timepiece, celebrating the year Mido was founded. The hallmarks of the All Dial Limited Edition 1918 are the pure lines of its design and the reliable precision of its COSC-certified chronometer movement. The watch draws inspiration from the visionary architecture of the Coliseum in Rome, which is engraved on the case back of this unique model. The shape of the case and the different levels of the dial pay further tribute to this great symbol of Rome, the Eternal City. Just like the iconic Coliseum, the All Dial Limited Edition 1918 is a rare masterpiece that will withstand the passage of time with all its radiance intact.
It is the extraordinary architecture of the Coliseum that provided the inspiration for the design of the All Dial collection from the watchmaker Mido, a collection that evokes the visionary and timeless form of the immense amphitheatre of one Ancient Rome’s most celebrated monuments. Guided by the same ingenious concept, the watch’s dial and case design give the All Dial collection its unique character.
Featuring an automatic COSC-certified chronometer movement, the All Dial Limited Edition 1918 combines impressive precision with inimitable style. Within its 42 mm diameter case, a silver sunray satinated dial reveals pure lines, and its layered construction recalls the circular forms devised by the architects of the Coliseum. Subtle golden-rose touches bring out the individually applied indexes. The hour and minute hands are treated with white Super-LumiNova® for easy readability at night. The sapphire crystal is anti-reflective and treated on both sides for comfortable reading of the time. A window positioned at 3 o’clock displays the day and date. Another hallmark of the All Dial Limited Edition 1918 is its special case back featuring an engraving of the Coliseum.
Water-resistant up to a pressure of 10 bar (100 m / 330 ft), this model features a polished satin-finish stainless steel bracelet. Issued in a limited edition of 1,918, this exceptional timepiece will satisfy all the expectations of men who love beautiful watches and rare objects.
