Anonimo is a Swiss watch brand with Italian roots and in 2013 the ownership of this independent watch brand was entrusted to its new owners. World renowned for its exceptional bronze timepieces, Anonimo is launching new timepiece collection, the Militare Alpini Series at Baselworld 2014.
Matterhorn, also called Cervino in Italian, is a mythical and elegant 4.478 meters summit that shows up its sharp ridges on one slope in Italy and one the other in Switzerland. The Militare Alpini series is a tribute to this summit, and to the 4th regiment of the Italian Alpine troops.
The Alpine are elite corps that must conform to among the highest physical and technical requirements imposed to military troops.
Following the footsteps of Anonimo’s legendary Militare line and inspired by the uniform of Alpine soldiers, white or green dressed over the course of seasons to blend in with the elements, the new Militare Alpini Series timepieces boast uncluttered dial for optimal legibility, screwed back, modified attachment strap system at 12 o’clock for a better resistance.
The distinctive crown protected between the side contacts of the case can be very easily accessed via the adjustable hinges. The patented system guarantees the water resistance of the case by simply closing it with one click.
With its bronze case, the white version comes with a bronze coloured dial, white indexes, numbers and hands, a white strap with bronze-coloured stitching and a bronze pin buckle.
Also mounted on a bronze case, the khaki version combines a khaki dial with white indexes, numbers and hands, a khaki strap with bronze-coloured stitching and a bronze pin buckle.
Its stainless steel case back is engraved with a stylised profile of the Matterhorn.
