Lew & Huey Acionna
After its debut model Riccardo Chronograph, US based watch brand Lew & Huey introduces Acionna, a rugged and sporty diving watch that boasts a unique and versatile design. It features screw-down crown, internal rotating bezel, an innovative illumination system, and has water resistance up to 200 meters.
Features like sophisticated case shape, wrist-hugging bracelet and mix of brushed and polished surfaces makes it a daily wear watch. It also offers a easy time reading thanks to the highly legible dial and classic big number marker layout like those of pilot watches. This stainless steel watch houses a Japanese Miyota 9015 calibre with quick date setting mechanism and hacking seconds hand.
Lew & Huey has picked the highly reliable Miyota 9015 movement to power Acionna. Manufactured by Citizen, Miyota 9015 is an affordable automatic calibre which is incredibly accurate, has a 42 hour power reserve, and beats at the rate of 28,800 times per hour. The movement is decorated with Côtes de Genève and rotor in radial brush-finish. Miyota 9015 is a popular calibre among new generation watch brands which make affordable mechanical timepieces.
The outer dial features a tight ring of grooves. The steeply bevelled rotating inner bezel, which is operated by the crown at 2’o clock, adds visual depth and functionality.
The date indication is placed at 3 O’ Clock. The applied markers incorporate hollow tubes filled with luminescent material, which provides superior illumination and offers high legibility during poor light conditions.
Other features include sapphire display crystal with an internally applied anti-reflective coating. The transparent sapphire caseback offers the view of movement.
Acionna is supplied with a solid yet comfortable 316L stainless bracelet featuring a micro adjustable clasp. It is also available with crocodile leather strap with white stitches and deployant clasp.
Production of first batch is limited to 501 pieces, 167 in each of the three colour combinations: Silver/White/Red, Black/White/Red, and Blue/White/Orange. Each watch will be laser-engraved with a limited edition number.
