G.Gerlach ORP Sokół and ORP Dzik

These timepieces remind us an inspiring history of brave sailors of Polish Navy during II World War and a tribute to the crews of ORP Sokol and ORP Dzik submarines called Terrible Twins.

Going back to the history, the first “official” diving watches in the Polish Navy – the Vostok Amphibians appeared in the late ’60s. These diving watches are inspired by those early Vostoks and their robustness, minimalism, ergonomics. The solid case has attached strap adapters. It makes a better fitting for wrists of different sizes.

The case is made of 316L grade stainless steel.  There are two versions: ORP Sokol comes with a white face, ORP Dzik with a black one. The hands, markers and the unidirectional rotating dive bezel are brightly luminous. Glass is made from sapphire crystal and is 2.7 mm thick.

The screwed caseback and crown are a standard in WR200 watches; here the crown comes with 2 O rings to ensure a reliable seal. Both the case and the crown are engraved, to pay a tribute to the story told by the watches; the story of the two Polish submarines – the P52 and the N97. Series of ORP Sokol and ORP Dzik are limited to 300 pieces each.
