At the Salon Internacional Alta Relojeria 2013 luxury watch event in Mexico, Swiss luxury watch manufacture Girard-Perregaux unveiled a unique piece La Esmeralda, Bi-Axial Tourbillon.

Girard-Perregaux pays tribute to the iconic La Esmeralda watch with a truly unique Bi-Axial Tourbillon in pink gold. It is powered by a mechanical movement with manual winding that delivers a minimum power reserve of 72 hours.

With its combination of two concentric cages that are visible from both the front and back sides of the case, this iconic model was chosen to represent and embody the Masterpiece in this collection.

Its case-back features a unique engraving inspired by the design on the historical La Esmeralda timepiece. This unique pink gold Bi-Axial Tourbillon watch costs about CHF 490,000.- (without taxes).
