This high end horology masterpiece successfully combines the crafts of watch making, art of miniature painting and jewellery making.
The new IL GIARDINO TROPICALE DI BULGARI is a perfect example for the mason’s mastery in the manufacturing of luxury watches and jewellery inspired from the nature. The complicated tourbillon movement of this grand complication timepiece is visible in the window of the parrot’s perch, while the dial and precious gemstones burst with luxuriant life. This timepiece, definitely rare and highly exclusive, is available in a limited edition of 50 pieces only.
The luxurious IL GIARDINO TROPICALE DI BULGARI timepiece pays tribute to 16th century miniature art painting. It requires minimum two weeks for the master craftsmen to finish the painting of the scenes handcrafted above the ivory lacquered gold dial due to the complexity of the process which requires mastery, creativeness and patience.
The transparent varnishes used in the process add depth and luminosity to the design on the dial. The scenes of flowers, leaves and the parrot are coated with varnishes multiple times to ensure the finishing and extreme care has also been taken to keep the background dial clean.
Finally, 61 brilliant cut diamonds on the plant-life motif add sparkles to this adoring timepiece. The 37mm, 18 ct pink gold case houses a self winding tourbillon movement with its tourbillon carriage supported by a sapphire glass bridge which is visible through the circular opening over which the parrot is rest on. The oscillating weight of the automatic movement is made of 22 ct gold.
