Swiss watch brand Tissot unveils a luxurious and exceptional automatic timepiece that boasts an excellent power reserve of 80 hours, thanks to the revolutionary Powermatic 80 movement. This movement will provide you with the luxury of forgetting about time for more than three whole days if you choose to and still be just on time to start your busy schedule back up after that nice little break.
The magnificent Tissot Luxury Automatic expresses natural class through the purity of its colour, while pure sophistication is conveyed by its meticulous design. The many details strengthened by playfulness between polished and satin surfaces are what give this watch an undeniable richness. The Tissot Luxury Automatic has thousands of facets, its exterior being just merely an added touch that makes it even more irresistible. Powermatic 80 Automatic movement
Relentless innovation, which is an integral part of Tissot’s DNA and at the very core of the company, has led to the creation of yet another revolutionary movement which comes to add itself to their name. Tissot has been working hand in hand with ETA for the research and development of this new automatic piece. Together they thrived to push the limits in terms of precision, power and essentially giving time a new status. Tissot’s spirit of innovators by tradition and ETA’s expertise in the creation of movements is a winning combination. Both companies were able to carry each other above and beyond, leading to the production of a ground-breaking piece.
Tissot’s recipe for success is to ally its watchmaking expertise and traditions to the benefits of innovative materials, which has proven itself time and time again. This movement was no exception to that approach and as a result, the automatic Powermatic 80 not only demonstrates ultimate precision but also has 80 hours of power reserve. Additionally, staying true to Tissot’s philosophy of offering luxury products at an affordable price, you will be awestruck by the price of such a revolutionary component.
Standard watches would usually have a barrel that would last 36 hours before needing to be wound up again. However, with a new construction concept which integrates a new spring barrel, Tissot and ETA were able to provide the piece with a greater power reserve, allowing the watch to go for 80 hours without being worn or wound up. As if a greater power reserve was not enough, they also found a way of making the movement extremely precise and robust by concentrating on ways to improve the regulator system. One of the factors which contributed to that robustness was a new way of regulating the watch by removing the index-assembly system and replacing this item by an innovative technology.
This new way of thinking and essential modifications have given way to this brand new revolutionary system called the Powermatic 80 automatic movement. You may witness these works in the Tissot Luxury timepieces, the first watches to feature the ground-breaking piece.
