The gowns worn by queens in those days were much admired as their jewellery or hairstyles. Made with obsessive attention to detail, they were decorated with lace, ribbons and bows. Charmed by the elegance of these details, the Breguet Company was inspired to create the “Désir de la Reine” watch. The bow of diamonds adorning this timepiece extends to the partially diamond-set mother-of-pearl dial. Pear-cut diamonds add further sparkle to the bow, recalling the dresses of the period. Since women also appreciate mechanical watchmaking, this white-gold timepiece on a satin strap is fitted with a self-winding movement.
The jewellers in Breguet’s workshops have also interpreted the bow decoration on a ring set with a central oval diamond.
