The new Swiss watch brand – ROD ORIGINAL DESIGN of Switzerland– is founded by the famous watch designer Rodolphe and Sylvain Bourgeois in 2012. Reflecting the spirit of the brand, the models are contemporary, easy going and combine strong design with the high quality of the finishes. Decorated with exclusive screws, the watch cases are made out of stainless- steel. Presented in three sizes that combine polishing and fine-brushed, a subtle mix, which illuminates the purity of the lines of the models. The original dials are structured in levels and their profiles intensify thanks to the various colours. The Swiss movement guarantees an extreme precision. The screw-in crown is protected by a protection which ensures comfort to the wrist and gives character to the models.

ROD ORIGINAL DESIGN of Switzerland was born from the association of watch making know-how and of the common passion. Marc Corven, marketing specialist, and Sylvain Bourgeois, engineer, spent twenty years at the service of the famed names of the watch industry. In 2012, they decided to establish LuxRod SA in Neuchâtel and to put their creativity, technical and innovative qualities at the service of a new brand which they want to be just like them: daring and generous but also respectful and rigorous.
Founders – Marc Corven & Sylvain Bourgeois
Marc Corven, CEO LuxRod SA, began his career in the watch industry in 1991, at Seiko Yema (France). In 1997, he becomes Chef Financial Officer at Mauboussin group. Right arm of Richard Mille, he develops products and sales network around the world. Three years later, they create a company of consultancy and marketing, which designs and manufactures “Private Label” watches.
Specialist in marketing and management in companies, in 2005, he settles down to Dubaï and opens a marketing company for watches, jewellery and writing instruments. In 2007, he is named General Manager of Al Sayegh Jewellery in Abu Dhabi, a chain of stores for which he sets up the strategy of development. In 2012, rich of varied experiences, he starts the brand ROD ORIGINAL DESIGN of Switzerland in Neuchâtel, in collaboration with Sylvain Bourgeois.
COO of LuxRod SA, Sylvain Bourgeois is Engineer and business manager with a strong experience in the watch manufacturing. He began his career in 1994 at Rolex SA in Geneva in research and development and later also in production management.
After nine years, he joined the family business and he took part in achieving famous watch movements as Harry Winston’s Opus 10. He is also credited with the concept of De Grisogono Meccanico DG. For five years, he was teaching watch engineering at the Technical School of La Vallée de Joux. In 2012, he decided to found LuxRod SA in Neuchâtel, in collaboration with Marc Corven.
