JEANRICHARD Aeroscope Chronograph in Titanium

A re-interpretation of the old aviators watches the new Aeroscope chronograph in titanium shares man’s most enduring dream with style and equanimity.

JEANRICHARD drew inspiration from the technical look of flight panel instruments to create a collection that evokes the vast universe of the sky. The obvious sign: unparalleled legibility, with large numerals and luminescent indexes in orange, white or black with a contrasting background. The automatic chronograph movement measures aerial exploits with great precision.

Eyes and fingers quickly master the functions thanks to the elongate pushers and the bezel with a minute scale, the large luminescent numerals and the skeletonised “arrow” hands that are also covered in luminescent matter. The dials come in rhodium-treated black or grey, vertical satin finishing and sunken counters with circular satin finishing, or in matt white.

The cushion-shaped case in titanium – a metal especially favoured in aeronautics –  is both light and robust at the same time. A large, round bezel with vertical satin finishing sits on the case, which is built of several parts, allowing for various satin or polished finishes and for a play with colours on the metal, natural grey or black with DLC coating. This collection, therefore, offers a broad choice of models, ranging from grey or black titanium, and passing by various combinations of cases, lugs and bezels.

The tribute to the conquest of the skies is reinforced by the black or brown Barenia® leather bracelets with contrasting stitches in off-white or orange. The Aeroscope can also be worn on a black, white, orange or grey rubber strap with an exclusive embossed design, the JR signature and a folding clasp, or a plain or black titanium bracelet with alternating motifs and a butterfly clasp.

To accompany the take-off of this practical and exciting chronograph, JEANRICHARD chose an exceptional “godfather”, a man known for his levelheadedness, his self-mastery and his passion for flying. An experienced pilot, captain Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger made history on January 15, 2009, when he ditched the Airbus A320 he was piloting in the Hudson River in New York City, saving the lives of all 155 people on board. It was a feat that made him a hero – and it embodies perfectly the spirit of the new Aeroscope collection.
