Baume & Mercier Capeland Collection (Christmas Special 2012)

One of Baume & Mercier’s classic creations, Capeland epitomizes a smart casual sporty style breathing authenticity and real strength of character. Round and polished like a pebble it is a decidedly “seaside” watch, aesthetic and technical, for the great outdoors: the ideal gift for all life’s adventurers, from the tireless explorer to the armchair traveler.

Keeping to the spirit of the historical piece that inspired them, each of these three Capeland watches are equipped with a selfwinding mechanical movement with chronograph, tachymeter and telemeter functions, and a 48–hour power reserve. The open worked oscillating weight with the Geneva Stripes décor and snailing is stamped with the brand’s trademark Phi symbol.

Baume & Mercier Capeland 10068
It’s hard to choose between the three emblematic models whose rounded back and case suggest the shape of a pebble. The Capeland 10068 blends satin-polished steel with a black dial, gilt vintage Breguet-style hands and a brown alligator strap with ivory overstitching. It is both charming and unique.
