This year Fendi pays close attention to discerning men, unveiling the all-new classically elegant FENDIMATICA collection of automatic watches. While Fendi has men’s timepieces in its collections, this new series is designed to capture the attention of stylish urban men who want a strong combination of artistic design and mechanical function. This sophisticated watch, complete with transparent sapphire caseback for viewing the Swiss made automatic movement, offers men a distinctive way to express themselves.
The FENDIMATICA draws its design inspiration from nostalgic Italian films of the 50’s and 60’s. The Italian influences of these films and the rich heritage of Fendi deftly blend and come to life in these new immediately identifiable timepieces. The alluring curved sapphire crystal underscores the timelessness of this series and is designed to appeal to the modern man.
Each FENDIMATICA watch is round and is created in a polished and brushed matt-finished 42mm stainless steel case with ergonomically curved sides and horns for the case-to-strap attachment.
This neoclassic design not only creates depth and dimension, but also offers a truly architectural appeal. The movement, visible through the transparent sapphire crystal case back, is a Swiss made automatic movement, meticulously finished to Fendi’s strict standards. One of the most striking details of the automatic mechanical movement is the engraved ff pattern and Fendi logo on the oscillating self winding weight. The ultra classic, 25-jewel timepiece features 48 hours of power reserve and beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour.
Featuring hours, minutes, seconds and date indication via an aperture at 4:00, the Swiss made timepieces are rendered with dials in either an attractively patterned silver sunray, midnight black or rich deep blue sunray. All feature applied indexes, with a yellow index at 4:00 to highlight the date feature.
Because Fendi creates every timepiece in its collections with the utmost attention to quality and detail, each timepiece is equipped with a curved sapphire crystal, a genuine alligator strap with Fendi buckle, and is water resistant to 50 meters (165 feet).
