Certina DS Master Black
The new Certina DS Master Black is a sporty and highly technical chronometer-chronograph. Its sporty oversized black PVD coated steel case carries a fixed bezel with an outer ring whose circumference is helix-machined at a 45-degree angle.
A non-reflective, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal opens onto a black dial with chrono counters for 12-hour and 10th-second timing, complemented by a small-second counter featuring the historic Certina logo down below.
Fine timekeeping carries on at the centre of the dial, adding chrono minutes and seconds to the standard hands, for a total of seven hands on a multi-level dial of great innovation.
Central chrono hands are read on two inner scales at the outer edge of the main dial, with white markings on black for precise reading. Current date is shown through a white-rimmed window at four-o’clock, in horizontal format for best legibility. Main HM hands are see-through outlines, to allow maximum visibility of the underlying elements.
DS Master is equipped with Certina’s famous DS Double Security protection system and a water resistance up to a pressure of 10 bar (100 m). The large, toothed, DS- monogrammed crown and its two adjacent pushbuttons are brightly polished and protected by a hefty screwed-on guard in black PVD finish.
For comfort, the case back is gently rounded to follow the wrist and give this trendy 45mm-diameter timepiece perfect balance. Its black PVD coated stainless steel bracelet blends perfectly into the boldly geometric case and is equipped with a folding safety buckle and diving extension.
A bicolour model is also available, with selected contrasting stainless steel and black PVD surfaces for an exquisite design effect, with a stainless steel strap with black PVD coated central links. All models come with their own COSC certificate and special packaging.
