VOGARD Radiator R1
The Radiator R1 from VOGARD’s world time collection of watches takes inspiration from the world of motor sport. This watch incorporates the same values and elements used in motor racing: high technology and performance, inventiveness and cutting-edge materials. The Radiator R1 watch is limited to 2x 99 pieces; one series comes with a rhodium movement plate and one series with a black movement plate.
Depending upon the version, the case of Radiator R1 watch is made of brushed steel or extra hard black steel with Titanium-Carbide (TiC). The patented world time movement features a miniature high-tech clutch and a complex gear-train, which enables the wearer to reset the watch in an instant, with no loss of accuracy. The bezel features all major racing tracks with a reference ‘GP’ indicating whether a Formula 1 Grand Prix takes place during standard time or Daylight Savings Time (summer time). Any owner of a VOGARD R1 limited edition may upgrade his bezel whenever the GP calendar is subject to change.
Inspired from the radiator grill of car engine, the dial has a unique structure in the shape of rhombuses, a design never before used in the watch industry. It offers an exciting view into the mechanics of the watch movement. The dial features a classic 3 hands pattern for time reading with an additional red 24h hand displaying AM/PM on the inner circle of the dial. A part of grill design, a date window at 4’o clock displays the date.
The bezel features all major racing tracks with a reference ‘GP’ indicating whether a Formula 1 Grand Prix takes place during standard time or Daylight Savings Time (summer time).
The new Radiator R1 comes in a set with 3 straps –metal bracelet, rubber strap and alligator strap – and all of them are easily interchangeable. The bracelet is made of extra hard black steel with Titanium-Carbide (TiC). Each element is finished and assembled by hand. Each version of Radiator R1 watch is limited to 99 timepieces only.
