Carlton House was the palatial London town house of the Prince Regent for four decades from 1783, a gift from his father George III to celebrate his coming of age. The private apartments of the then Prince of Wales was The Blue Velvet Suite and the main luxurious reception room, The Red Rose Drawing Room. Backes & Strauss takes inspiration from this era and unveils two new timepieces: The Blue Velvet & the Red Rose.
The Blue Velvet, crafted in 18kt white gold with 12 bespoke sapphires as numerals and The Red Rose in 18kt rose gold with 12 bespoke rubies. These numerals are hand set amongst the best quality ideal cut round brilliant diamonds. These sumptuous masterpieces are available as both Regent (in size 44 – 52) and Piccadilly (in size 45), and due to the workmanship involved they are produced in very limited numbers.
