The automatic movement’s functions are spread over a dial judiciously designed as a continuation of the iconic Harry Winston arches. With the Clous de Paris decoration to add relief, it makes use of graphic cut-outs to draw the eye to the display mechanisms. The design accentuates the depth effects and lends a deliberately bold character to the three-dimensional structure.
High-tech modernity is highlighted by a decidedly geometrical approach. The chronograph’s function displays are given further attention and depth with a complex, conical shaped, minute counter. The hour counter slides part way under the dial while minutes and hours are unremarkably yet clearly indicated by a blue arrow. The date is also legible through a date window at the end of a riveted insert at twelve o’clock. An electric blue-accented decoration glides beneath the window at two o’clock. It is a Shuriken, symbolic element in the Harry Winston design. Like an unmistakable signature, the stylized Shuriken, a symbol borrowed form the martial arts, embodies the dynamic nature of the collection.
Sporty and skillfully crafted, the Harry Winston Ocean Sport™ Chronograph Limited Edition bears a strong character with its notched rotating bezel and its masculine and powerful tones: black through charcoal and light gray to white with very distinctive blue touches. Technical excellence and the pursuit of a particular esthetic join to energize this 44-mm diameter model, which is water resistant to 200 meters. Offered with a rubber strap and folding buckle, this edition is limited to 300 pieces.
