Introduced in 2011, the “Baroque” Tourbillon with meteorite dial is a unique offering from the Fleurier Manufacture which combines technical excellence and watchmaking art to create a richly symbolic timepiece.

Invented at the end of the 18th century in the era of pocket watches, the tourbillon is designed to cancel the adverse effects from the earth’s gravity on timing when the watch is positioned vertically. The AMADEO ® case allows this timepiece to be converted into a reversible wristwatch, a miniature table clock or a pocket watch through simple manipulations requiring no use of tools whatsoever.

The AMADEO® concept therefore justifies more than ever recourse to a regulating organ driven by a tourbillion cage.  The BOVET’s artisans have applied all their expertise to obtain a decorative finish of unrivalled sophistication.  Since the reverse hand-fitting allows this timepiece to be worn on either of its two faces, every part of the case has been engraved by hand in a “ Baroque “ style.

On the movement side, the absence of a dial sees the two hands glide over the surface of bars and bridges engraved by hand in the same style as the case. The other face of this exceptional timepiece displays hours, minutes, seconds and power reserve on a dial manufactured from Gibeon Meteorite.

Originating in the outer reaches of the universe, this celestial material adds its philosophical dimension of space and time while blending harmoniously with the aesthetic beauty of a unique timepiece.
