Italian lifestyle brand E. MARINELLA, the internationally renowned brand among the most prestigious neckties’ producers in the world, presents the new Watch collections Piazza Vittoria and Retrò timepieces.

The elegant E. MARINELLA watches are fully faithful to this style philosophy and were born from the passion for timepieces of Maurizio Marinella, grandson of the founder and today’s head of the company. MARINELLA’s products – such as ties, shirts, perfumes, have been chosen for almost one hundred years by politicians, and VIPs worldwide.

The E. MARINELLA timepieces allow the wrist to wear the authentic Neapolitan tailoring school tradition, focused on love for details and attention to every single trim: just as if it were a piece of silk to be cut, sewn and packed up to give life to a tie, the watches are created by the Maison in a “tailoring” way, with artisan craftsmanship and attention to every single detail.

The stylistic accent and mastery of MARINELLA in designing ties are transferred, in fact, in the watch collection in examples of extreme aesthetic and technical appeal, which combine high classic performances given by the great precision of movement and quality of each component.

The new “Piazza Vittoria” and “Retrò” refined collections were previewed at Baselworld 2011.

With these new models, E. MARINELLA presents watches with aesthetic and technical characteristics of great importance, using the finest materials – such as handmade straps created by skilled Italian craftsmen – joined to the extreme precision of movement.

It is the historic location of the E. MARINELLA workshop located in Piazza Vittoria in Naples – opened in 1914 by the founder Don Eugenio MARINELLA – to give its name to the new gents’ timepiece collection.

“Piazza Vittoria” (Victory Square) is a collection of ten elegant models worn on the wrist of the MARINELLA man with the same classic and timeless appeal which the brand has elected as the fundamental characteristic of its style in the world.

The two models – Piazza Vittoria Chrono and Piazza Vittoria Hand Winding – have both a 44mm diameter, round, elegant stainless steel case with sapphire crystal and pressure back case.

The first one has an automatic winding, two-counter ETA 7750 chronograph movement with tachometer scale, the second one has a hand-winding ETA 6497 movement with seconds’ counter at 9.

In both models of the Piazza Vittoria collection the dial, available in silver or black with applied Arabic numerals, is combined with a high-quality genuine alligator padded strap fitted with a coated buckle, made by Italian craftsmen. The water resistance is guaranteed up to 5 atmospheres.

E. MARINELLA also presents Retrò, a unisex model with a classical style, smart in its lines and its manufacturing. The Retrò collection is composed by three watches characterized by a sophisticated style and a discrete elegance.

The stainless steel 316L case has a particular rectangular shape with old-style handles and a back case closed by 4 screws and contains a Swiss quartz movement.

The dial, available in black, silver and champagne, has Roman numerals and leaf hands and is combined with a refined leather hand-made strap. Retrò features hours and minutes functions and is water resistant at 3 atmospheres.
