Released in November 2010, this limited edition Spring Drive Platinum watch commemorates the 50th Anniversary of Grand Seiko.

Exclusively limited to Grand Seiko Master Shops in Japan, this rare and precious timepiece features a platinum case with 40.2mm diameter. The white dial highlights the 18K yellow gold GS “lion” emblem and “50th Anniversary” inscription near the date window at 3H. Using a small hand positioned near the GS logo, the watch also displays the power reserve, which is about 72 hours. The golden second hand accentuates the characteristic smooth movement of the sweep hand.

Grand Seiko SBGA065 is limited to 30 pieces. The platinum case-back ring is engraved with “50th Anniversary 1960-2010” and a serial number proving the limited number. The rotating weight of the movement, which is visible through the sapphire case-back, is also decorated with the “lion emblem” made of 18K yellow gold.

The Spring Drive Caliber 9R15 offers an accuracy of ± 10 seconds per month (equivalent to daily difference ± 0.5 seconds). Equipped with a high-performance crystal oscillator specially selected according to the characteristics of the spring drive, high time accuracy has been achieved by making adjustments for each model.
