Barrington Griffiths Watch Company is a small and independent watch maker from Calgary, Canada, and specialized in design, restore, and manufacture mechanical wristwatches.
The company was founded by Industrial Designer, Mark Griffiths. His love of simple, modern design and respect for the tradition of watchmaking inspired the Modern Classic, a contemporary watch built around a classic Swiss movement. The Modern Classic is produced in limited quantities ensuring that every watch receives the attention to quality and detail.
The Modern Classic is a blend of old and new and equipped with a vintage pocket watch movement. Every movement is thoroughly refurbished and calibrated to run like new. Modern design and technology are used to create the parts for the rest of the watch. BG watches are rugged and water-resistant; however they contain precision components and should not be dropped on hard surfaces or used for contact sports or swimming. Vintage movements do not have shock protection.
The company builds the stainless steel cases individually in Alberta. Every part that goes into a BG Modern Classic is tested and inspected during assembly to maintain the high standard of quality. The watches are guaranteed to be free of material defects for their lifetime.
The Modern Classic series the brand’s first watch line and incorporates a movement from a vintage Swiss pocket watch. Barrington Griffiths Watch Company offers a limited production of these fine watches in a selection of bold colors.
This watch features a stainless steel water-resistant case, a domed crystal, glass back, calfskin leather band and the option of a stainless steel deployment clasp.
