Echoing the men’s models presented at the BaselWorld exhibition in 2010, the “Les Classiques” watches for women reflect the talent of the Maurice Lacroix designers and creators to revisit a collection, while at the same time remaining true to its intrinsic character. Their extremely competitive market positioning brings real added value to the brand’s offer. Preferring the classic to the extravagant, the innovations blend their feminine elements with their matching masculine features, neatly demonstrating the elegance of the “Pair Watches” concept.

Playing on diversity, the Les Classiques Date and the Moon Phase Chronograph are the very reflection of femininity. They may be fitted with a mechanical or a quartz movement, be set with diamonds or not, be made of steel or twin-coloured metal, be simple or complicate, be decorated with a polished or a smooth finish… All reflect the eclectic tastes and aspirations of women who enjoy variety, wearing a sleek watch, one with complications or a jewelled one, to fit the occasion. But it must be authentic, with the smallest indication or the merest decorative detail finding its justification within the 33 mm diameter watch case.

The Date version observes the world around it with composure and assurance. Three hands and a date, with nothing to disturb the visual passage of time. The hours and minutes hands, with their luminescent coating, move round above a dial encircled with slim applied markers. The layout, reduced to simplicity itself, places the date aperture at 6 o’clock. Fitted with a self-winding mechanical or quartz movement, the watch case, bracelet and dial come in a range of finishes, black, silver-coloured or mother-of-pearl. It is also available in a jewelled version, with the dial and bezel set with glittering diamonds.

The Moon Phase Chronograph features complications dear to Maurice Lacroix since the 1980s, including some of the most poetic and feminine. Within lies a quartz movement that ticks away regularly and accurately. The timeless design presents the data in a beautifully balanced and perfectly legible way. The chronograph counters, located directly opposite each other at 10 and 2 o’clock, are cleverly balanced by the moon phase indicator at 6 o’clock. In black, these form a striking contrast with the white mother-of-pearl dial, which is also available in a version featuring a diamond-studded bezel. Even the date is a model of discretion, located demurely at 4 o’clock.
