Seiko Watch Co., Ltd. has released a limited model, the Prospex Marinemaster Professional “White Dolphin” to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the birth its divers’ watches. Limited to 300 pieces, this timepiece has a suggested retail price of 220,500 yen (210,000 yen excluding tax). Inspired by white dolphin (also known as beluga), this 1000m saturation diving watch uses white ceramics for outer part of the case.
The Seiko SBBN019 Prospex Marinemaster Professional model is compatible with the 1,000m saturated diving waterproof specifications that have been trusted by deep-sea divers around the world. It offers superior levels of air tightness and water tightness thanks to the integrated one-piece case and the outer body protector.
Its case measures 49.3mm and mounted with a unidirectional diving bezel. The outside of the hard-coated titanium case is covered with a ceramic protector, which is lightweight and offers excellent impact resistance while preventing malfunction of the rotating bezel. The bellows-type polyurethane band developed by Seiko for the first time in the world in 1975 provides excellent elasticity and firm fitting even when the water pressure changes in the deep sea.
The Seiko Prospex White Dolphin watch houses a high torque (output) quartz movement. Lumibright is applied to 0 to 20 on the upper scale of the rotating bezel to improve readability during diving. The words “SEIKO” and “PROFESSIONAL He-GAS DIVER’S 1000m” are printed in white on the black urethane band.
A stainless steel mirror that can reflect light during diving is set in a special box as a novelty.
