Japanese watch brand Orient Star presents a special edition Retro Future Camera watch to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Orient watch company.
Orient was founded on July 13, 1950. For its 60th anniversary, the brand has proposed various limited edition models. Released in June this year, the Orient Star Retro Future Camera Model WZ0071DK is the first of the anniversary commemorative models.
Introduced in 2005, Orient Star Retro Future is a popular series that combines 1950’s industrial design and mechanical watches. It incorporates modern and futuristic designs found in industrial products. So far, this series has released models inspired by motorcycle, car, camera and bicycle.
Inspired by Sirius’, a blue-white shining star in the night sky, it uses blue color as an accent on each part. In addition to the bezel being plated with blue, the open-heart window on the dial is made of blue glass, giving it a special coloring that is unique to this commemorative model.
Furthermore, it houses a new automatic movement equipped with a manual winding function and a second hand stop device, which were not included in previous Orient Star camera models.
