JS Watch co ISLANDUS 1919

This timepiece from the JS Watch co ISLANDUS collection pays tribute to the first documented flight achievements in Iceland’s history.

On 3rd September 1919, Iceland witnessed the take off of the first civilian aircraft in its history. It was an AVRO 504K plane owned by Flugfélag Íslands, the first Icelandic airline company, founded in 1919. This plane was flown by Danish pilot Cecil Faber.

Introduced in 2009, the JS Watch co ISLANDUS 1919 automatic watch pays tribute to this historical achievement. It has a black dial with luminous material applied hands and hour markers.
