Speake Marin Phoenix Unique Piece
This watch (Phoenix) exists as a result of a young self taught Japanese engraver who presented himself to Peter Speake Marin on one of his visits to Japan, he was so enthused by the hand engraved dials offered in the Piccadilly that master watchmaker Peter Speake Marin entrusted him with a blank gold dial. The sole requirement was that the engraver should create something original, to discover his own style; with the promise that if he was happy with the work Peter would make a watch with it, the result was this watch. 
On receiving the Phoenix Peter Speake Marin gave the engraver his own white gold prototype watch. The results are a tribute to the beauty of hand engraving and the enthusiasm of a very talented self trained artist who has requested to remain anonymous.
