Nautische Instrumente Mühle-Glashütte, the German watch making company presents The “Robert Mühle 1869 – 2009” special edition timepiece which lends an appropriate expression to the dynamic history of Mühle, a history which begins with Robert Mühle. In 1869 he founded a company in Glashütte which manufactured precision measuring instruments for the watchmaking industry. Since then, the name Mühle has been a byword for precision and precision measuring.
With this special edition, limited to 300 pieces, the fifth generation of the family is today honouring the founder of this tradition. As befits the occasion, the three timepieces with their classical design are equipped with attractive special features.
The stainless steel case of the Robert Mühle Datum and Robert Mühle Medium are each crowned with a bezel of 14ct red gold. Gold-plated indices, numerals and hands complement the classic bicolour design. At a first glance, the Robert Mühle Tag/Datum has a rather restrained appearance with its stainless steel bezel. On the other hand, it not only shows the wearer the date, but also the day of the week.
The completed movement of the special edition is also something special. On the one hand the movements are provided with a classic shiny coating in antique nickel. On the other hand they have screws with fine, hand-polished heads to go with it. Moreover, they have the typical Mühle rotor and an in-house woodpecker regulation.
