Wyler Genève is a luxury Swiss watch brand with its origins dating back to the 1920s.

On 28th March 1924, Paul Wyler established the Wyler Watch company in Basel, Switzerland. One of his biggest customers was Innocente Binda, an Italian entrepreneur whose family business has grown into one of today’s big watchmaking groups, the Binda Group. Based in Milan, Italy, the Binda Group is the parent company of Wyler Genève.

Introduced in 1927, Incaflex balance wheel was one of Paul Wyler’s most significant innovations. It was incorporated in the 2007 Wyler Genève chronograph as a link with the brand’s heritage. The design is as simple as it is brilliant: the balance wheel, made out of a single piece of metal, had two flexible symmetrical half-spiral arms that joined at the wheel’s axis and acted as shock absorbers.

Paul Wyler’s dedication to improving the quality and accuracy of his timepieces earned him nine patents for balances with flexible arms, two and three-piece watch cases and other innovations.

Italy’s football team were among the first to discover the benefits of Wyler Incaflex timepieces, as the brand was appointed as their official timekeeper for the 1934 World Cup. It is to be noted that Italy won its first-ever World Cup trophy in 1934.

In 2006, Binda Group established Montres Wyler SA Genève to revive this historical Swiss watch brand.

The flagship collections from Wyler Genève are Code R and Code S.

Wyler Genève Code R

The Wyler Genève Code-R collection is comprised of well-built watches featuring an innovative shock-absorbing case design that employs robust yet lightweight materials such as titanium and carbon fibre resin.

The movement is sealed in a titanium container held in place by a carbon-fibre frame to which the upper and lower metal plates are fixed by means of titanium screws mounted on springs. This leaves the movement suspended inside the watch, allowing shocks to be absorbed using a principle similar to that of a car’s suspension.

This collection offers sporty chronographs including various special editions, the Code R Tourbillon and the Code R CarbonNeutral® GMT model.

Wyler Genève Code S

The Wyler Genève Code-S collection is comprised of sporty gents’ models and bejewelled ladies’ watches. The case of each Code-S watch has the brand’s signature design, consisting of two metal plates fixed to a composite frame by four prominent titanium screws. Inside this construction, the movement is sealed inside a separate titanium container that offers extra protection for the miniature mechanics inside.

All Code-S models are powered by a Swiss-made chronograph movement. The Code-S models are fitted with the signature Wyler Genève natural rubber strap, which bears the company’s trademark “rice-grain” pattern.
