Vulcain GMT “Panthers” Cloisonné Enamel Limited Edition

This year, the Manufacture in Le Locle is enriching its range by unveiling the GMT “PANTHERS” LIMITED EDITION – an exceptional model expressing the feline power of this highly symbolic animal, as well as Vulcain’s mastery of the time-honoured art of enamelling.

Pursuing the noble lineage of its enamelled models enhanced with symbolically charged animal motifs, Manufacture Vulcain is introducing the GMT “PANTHERS” LIMITED EDITION model in two versions. One features an 18K rose gold case with a guilloché flammé red dial base, and the other an 18K white gold case with a guilloché flame blue dial base.

The enigmatic panther, which generally lives in dense tropical forests, is a creature conveying powerful symbolism. Known for its amazing strength, this feline with its jet-black coat is generally associated with femininity, courage and the notion of justice. Exactly the kind of character traits that combine with exceptional intuition to make the panther a magnificent new emblem of this 30-piece limited series.

Behind this masterpiece of fine craftsmanship beats the specially decorated and rhodium-plated Cricket V13 alarm calibre. Equipped with a twin barrel, this mechanical hand-wound movement has a 42-hour power reserve.

In addition to the hour, minute, seconds and alarm functions (with the latter featuring a 15 to 20 second ring), the Vulcain GMT “PANTHERS” LIMITED EDTION watch displays world time on a 24-hour scale adjustable by a screw-locked crown at 4 o’clock.

The 18K rose gold or white gold case is water-resistant to 100 metres and is fitted with a double case-back acting as a resonance chamber.
