This limited edition Seiko Kinetic Chronograph in Titanium (reference SBXZ003) was launched to mark the arrival of the new millennium.
Seiko Kinetic Chronograph houses a quartz chronograph movement (9T82 caliber) with a kinetic mechanism. This timepiece features a unique design with four independent dials, and in February 1999, stainless steel model (reference SBXZ001) was released in a limited number of 1,000 worldwide, which attracted a great deal of attention.
The chronograph uses the “instantaneous zero return method” that instantly returns the needle to the 0 position when reset, achieving the same high-precision operability as a mechanical chronograph. In addition, the Seiko 9T82 Kinetic movement has a quick date feed mechanism that switches the date instantaneously.
The Seiko Kinetic Chronograph millennium model uses titanium with a gray hard coating on the surface of the case and band. Featuring an innovative and advanced design, this independent multi-lens chronograph comes with four dials, a basic clock display, a 1/10 second chronograph display, a second chronograph display, and an hour / minute (30 minutes / 12 hours) chronograph display. Carbon is used for each dial of the chronograph display to emphasize the advanced and fearless impression.
The case back is a see-through specification of sapphire glass, so that you can enjoy seeing the beauty of the delicate movement, and the central part of the glass contains the “KINETIC CHRONOGRAPH 2000” mark.
This timepiece was released in November 1999. Limited to 500 pieces in Japan, the Seiko Kinetic Chronograph Titanium SBXZ003 had a retail price of 300,000 yen excluding tax.
