The latest Cascadeur Chrono is no exception, and pushes the extreme sport envelope a notch further. Certina is a well-known master in the art of time under extreme conditions. DS Cascadeur lines have since 1995 garnered great renown for their outstanding resistance and irresistible design. With perfect balance between performance and style, they accompanied Hollywood stunt pro Oliver Keller through incredible exploits witnessed by the world in films such as ‘Spiderman’, ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’, or the TV series ’24’.
The new Certina DS Cascadeur measures time with outstanding good looks and a personality second to none. Built around a PVD black inner shell with an anti reflecting rounded sapphire crystal, it is further protected by an additional PVD black outer case equipped with the distinctive twin Cascadeur steel bars, cast directly into the case.
Time display is carried out in characteristically audacious Cascadeur style. The black satin-finished sun splash dial boasts two square-shaped upper counters for 12-hour and 1/10-sec. display, while the round small-second counter adds a harmonising and slightly technical note. The HM hands as well as the hours indexes carry bright Superluminova treatment.
Chrono displays are highly legible and clear, with white hands over a black background. White tachymeter markings also provide high contrast and sharp indication against the fixed PVD black protective outer case. Black push-buttons strike a final harmony to this unique composition.
The DS Cascadeur comes with Certina’s own famous DS+ system, and is worn with a high-tech rubber watch strap equipped with a folding safety buckle.
The new Certina DS Cascadeur Chrono is also available in three other configurations. One with a steel watch case and bracelet, one with a steel case and rubber strap, and another with a dark brown leather strap.
