Swiss watch brand Oris has announced the new gold version of its Chronoris Grand Prix ’70 limited edition watch.

The Grand Prix season of 1970 was one of the most dramatic and exciting motor racing has ever seen. In 1970 Oris also introduced the original Chronoris to great acclaim.

In 2008, the brand launched the Chronoris Grand Prix ’70 Limited Edition to honor this iconic watch collection. Now, a rose gold variant joins this exclusive series.

With a case made from solid 18K rose gold, and strictly limited to just 70 pieces worldwide this new Chronoris is a fitting tribute to the first ‘golden age’ of motor racing. The shape is distinctive Chronoris, the retro styling given a modern twist with the second time zone and the 10-minute countdown.

Inside this Chronoris Gold watch beats the Oris Calibre 687, the Chronometer certified version of the Calibre 677 (base ETA 7754) used in the stainless steel Chronoris model released in 2008.

Presented in a luxury box set with an automatic Oris watch winder, the Chronoris Grand Prix ’70 Gold Limited Edition is sure to keep the wheels of time turning.
