PORSCHE DESIGN Rattrapante P’6920

Porsche Design presents the new mechanical stop watch to catching up with P´6920 in an limited edition with 250 specimens.

This chronometer makes it possible to measure and post the number of desired intermediate time. Its edition is limited to 200 specimens out of titanium PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) and 50 specimens combining titanium and pink gold, of a very traditional elegance.

A powerful shape and titanium case characterise Porsche Design’s very first split-seconds chronograph. Limited to 200 pieces in its PVD titanium version and to 50 for the PVD titanium and pink gold version, this COSC-certified chronograph gives intermediary times. When the chronograph has been started, the two direct-drive seconds hands will set off simultaneously.

The split-seconds hand can be stopped by pressing on the left pushpiece; this will indicate the first time. Meanwhile, the other hand will continue moving. Pressing a second time will release the split-seconds hand and allow it to catch up with the other hand. Superposed once again, the two hands will carry on together.

The Rattrapante watch has a striking 45 millimetre casing which is made of titanium, a metal known for its light weight and resistance to corrosion. The casing gets its black surface thanks to PVD technology: this vacuum- based process causes a matt black layer of metal nitrides to condense, protecting the watch from external influences.

The sapphire glass back provides a view of the Valjoux 7750 automatic mechanism with Porsche Design rotor system.

Additionally the flyback chronograph comes with a certificate of precision issued by the Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres (COSC) and offers a power reserve of 48 hours.

The retail price of the watch is approximately CHF 26, 950/€ 18,230.
