By merging the ultimate in refined design with the grand tradition of watchmaking complications, the Class collection has given itself a signature look unlike any other. Its distinguished yet modern aesthetic style is rooted in classicism and discreet luxury. It is a celebration of the Manufacture’s know-how with multiple variations of the mechanism based either on the El Primero chronograph or the Elite movement.
A savvy mix that gives a soul and an incomparability to these objets d’art shot through and through with refinement and a timeless elegance. This collection is the embodiment of the alchemy between classicism and modernity with a touch of pure distinction inspired by the 1950s. New to the Multicity range this year is a unique complication: the Class Traveller Open Multicity Alarm.
Multicity 2009 is distinguished by a unique complication. In addition to the ability to display the time whatever the time zone, this exceptional timepiece also includes an alarm that is adjustable over a 12 hour-period.
With 439 components and 41 rubies, El Primero 4046 is the first automatic movement to incorporate a column wheel chronograph, a Grande Date, a world timer, a double barrel and an alarm.
The two barrels have separate functions, one dedicated to the alarm and the other focusing all its energy on the watch. The crown at 8 o’clock allows the alarm to be set and the watch to be rewound manually. The crown also has a push-button to switch the alarm mechanism on and off.
This masterpiece is available, in the purest of watchmaking traditions, in rose gold, with a silver guilloche dial and integral black alligator strap with brown overstitching, or in a more contemporary style in stainless steel with a black dial and integral strap with dark blue overstitching that echoes the colours on the dial.
Multicity explores the arcana of an increasingly sophistical and innovative watch industry at the service of the connoisseur businessman. This exceptional timepiece, with a rotating disk indexed on the hour hand, simultaneously tells the time in 24 cities around the world from Paris to Tokyo via New York and Moscow.
It also has an elegant Grande Date incorporating a patented mechanism with three disks. In addition to this technical prowess, the unique design displays the cities in a spiral on a barleycorn guilloche dial.
The Multicity Open collection that already has an El Primero Chronograph and a Grande Date now also comes in a Titanium thoroughbred sports version. This ultra-resistant timepiece has a 46 mm sapphire glass-backed case and the dark grey alligator strap to match the dial has red overstitching to echo the hour hand.
The Multicity Elite collection
The Multicity Elite collection comes in a particularly up-to-the-minute stainless steel version with a black guilloche dial: all in all an extremely elegant timepiece in a fine 44 mm case with a black alligator strap.
