The Aerochrono marks an important breakthrough in the history of Dubey & Schaldenbrand. It has always been a dream to create a small-size chronograph using the standard tonneau shaped Aerodyn case.
As with all Dubey & Schaldenbrand watches, “AEROCHRONO” uses a self-winding, automatic movement with 3 sub-dials indicators :-
– A 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock.
-A 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock.
-A small second indicator at 9 o’clock.
There is also a date indicator window between 4 and 5 o’clock.
A closer look at the “AEROCHRONO” dial reveals a sensational “Clous de Paris,” guilloche pattern. Add to this the “Stuart” hands and this watch takes on a look which is simply stunning. The beautiful “AEROCHRONO” case is made of 4N 18K Rose Gold, measuring a remarkable 33 x 44 mm with a thickness of 12 mm. It is fitted with a domed sapphire crystal which has an anti-reflective coating on both sides.
“AEROCHRONO” uses a self-winding, automatic chronograph movement with a diameter of 23.3 mm and a thickness of 5.5 mm; 33 rubies; Incabloc; 28,800 oscillations, 37-hour power reserve and a “chronometer”-quality escapement. As a final touch, all bridges are decorated with the famous “Côtes de Genève” pattern that is then rhodium-plated. Thanks to its sapphire-crystal case back, one can admire the beauty, functionality and craftsmanship of the movement.
