Meccaniche Veloci, the Italian watchmaking company, was founded by passion for engines and a revolutionary idea: to create a prestigious item using the concept of a piston of a four-times engine, the heart of the best competition cars ever constructed. From the success of the Quattro Valve model stems the project that has led the well-known Milanese brand to mark the creation of the CCM – Carbon Ceramics, born of the partnership with Brembo.
Exclusiveness, research and innovation are all included in the new Quattro Valve CCM. The first and unique wristwatch in the world made of the same material that is used for the brake discs of high performing racing cars and that will debut on on the occasion Baselworld 2009.
The watch has been entirely manufactured in Italy in limited pieces, with great accuracy in its every single part. The case is made of Composite Ceramic, using a waterjet Italian technology 5.000 bar, a sophisticated and craftmade procedure that prevents harming or physical or mechanical changing of the material.
Finishes are made with special grinders and seals are made of a special rubber and manufactured ad hoc. The particular structure of the material allows only few pieces to be manufactured in a month and only seven pieces to be obtained from one Brembo disc. CCM’s technical characteristics makes it a real jewel of mechanical engineering.
The watch has four Swiss mechanical movements ETA 2671. Four automatic and independent mechanical movements, which wind up by a simple motion of the wrist. Crowns in hand-polished titanium set the watch. The straps are made of the same material that cotes the crown of racing cars’ wheels and can be replaced by a second straps of black alligator skin.
CCM can have yellow, black or silver coloured dials, in addition to red one. These colours emulate those of Brembo’s original brake calipers. Such exclusive details make Quattro Valve CCM the symbols of passion for motors.
Brembo, born in a small workshop in the 60s, is now leading Europe in the market for auto parts and brakes, and partners of major car manufacturers for the supply of disc brakes for high performance. A result that makes the symbol of excellence Brembo.
