Chronoswiss Kairos Automatique
Time is both an objective dimension and a personal perception .The ancient Greeks believed that we human beings have a fateful encounter with time’s subjective aspect, which they called “kairos.” This destined meeting requires us to recognize and seize a favorable opportunity when it presents itself.
Oftentimes, however, the linkage between subjective and objective temporal factors can be crucially important, for example, when the auspicious instant occurs at a precisely defined moment in time or during a rigorously circumscribed interval of time. This is the time of the Kairos Automatique, a wristwatch that leaves nothing to chance.
The perfection of the watch’s external appearance is logically continued inside its consummately shaped case, which is watertight to 30 meters and assembled from 19 individual parts. The transparent sapphire crystal in the back allows one to admire a highly precise automatic movement with a ball-borne rotor.
Love for details is evident in the finely engine-turned dial, which is crafted from sterling silver, as well as in the meticulously polished, blued steel hands and the date display.

Chronoswiss “Kairos” family
Chronoswiss created the Kairos line of watches in 1989. The classic Kairos Automatic and the Kairos Automatic-Chronograph have become esteemed leader models in the exclusive mechanical Chronoswiss collection.
Now the small Kairos family celebrates the addition of several further models: the classic Kairos-Automatic with matte black dial enchants by its distinguished reserve. White Breguet numbers and white lacquered steel hands make it very easy to read. For good reason nothing has changed in the perfectly shaped special steel bottom with an inlet of sapphire glass, waterproof to a depth of 30 meters.
The Kairos Medium is targeted at watch enthusiasts, gentlemen with a small wrist or ladies who look for an expressive wristwatch with automatic winding. Although ladies have had a considerable influence on the development of the wristwatch, they are generally given short shrift when new models are created; but not at Chronoswiss. The volume of the case of the new Kairos “Lady” is perfectly suitable to the rigorous demands of the athletic, elegant woman.
The 30 mm diameter, the thinness and the precise finish of all details make this classic model a piece of jewellery for every women’s wrist. Since 1995 Chronoswiss is able to present another novelty. The new models have exclusive Breguet Losange type steel hands presently available only at Chronoswiss. All the hands are carefully finished manually ground to a point (i.e. bomb shaped) and polished.
