OMEGA Constellation Double Eagle 35 mm Co-Axial Ladies’ Chronograph, Red Gold

The Constellation 35 mm Automatic Co-Axial Chronograph is a sports watch that exudes contemporary sophistication with a luxurious touch. This highly feminine timepiece boasts an opulent combination of 18-carat red gold with a rich chocolate brown dial, the radiance of sparkling diamonds, and a sporty rubber strap.

This COSC certified chronometer is powered by OMEGA’s exceptional self-winding Calibre 3313, equipped with a Co-Axial escapement. This design classic is now presented in a 35 mm case size: ideal for ladies who are looking for a bigger watch but not willing to sacrifice femininity.

The Constellation “claws” or “griffes” set with 64 diamonds (0.33 carats) are one of the iconic features of this perennial Omega design, first introduced in 1982 in the Constellation Line. Characteristic of the fluid lines of the Constellation, the strap is neatly integrated into the case by way of two half-moon facets that form an elegant transition between the two.

Excellence in design marks this watch, a philosophy that beyond the sleek and smooth lines of the watch is patent in details such as the contrast between the highly polished gold chronograph push buttons, the crown, the inner bezel and the matt satin finish of the case. Even the crown is set with a briolette diamond and 32 diamonds that total 1.43 carats, adorn the bezel.

The dial’s deep brown colour is achieved through a PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) treatment that creates the perfect backdrop for the pink-brown mother-of-pearl 12-hour and thirty minute sub dials. Set alongside each other, they form a figure of eight that draws the eye to these vital chronograph counters. A third sub dial, a discreet small seconds counter, is found at 9 o’clock.

The twelve solid red gold hour markers are facetted and polished to catch the light. The 18-carat red gold Dauphine style hands are also facetted and furthermore are visible in the dark thanks to Super-LumiNova inserts. The 18-carat red gold Constellation star symbol is featured on the dial, to match the Omega logo and symbol and other dial details. A gently domed scratch-proof sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides ensures that the dial is highly visible even in the brightest of light.

The Constellation Double Eagle 35 mm Co-Axial Chronograph is powered by the Calibre 3313, a high-quality self-winding mechanical movement with a power reserve of 52 hours. The Co-Axial escapement, proprietary OMEGA technology, considerably reduces friction in the heart of the watch mechanism and offers improved long-term reliability and accuracy. A free-sprung balance further improves this COSC (Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres) certified chronometer. The column-wheel mechanism serves to perfect the chronograph’s performance. It ensures a smooth start to the sweep of the seconds hands when the chronograph is activated and provides precision stop and reset functions. The rhodium-plated movement has been given a luxurious finish and the bridges are decorated with attractive circular graining, Geneva waves and gold-plated engravings visible through the sapphire crystal screw-in case back. The watch is water resistant to 100 metres / 330 feet.

The watch is also available in Titanium, to match the existing gentlemen’s model or in stainless steel. To complete the look, the Constellation Double Eagle 35 mm Co-Axial Chronograph is presented on a brown rubber strap. It securely fastens on the wrist by way of an 18-carat brushed red gold foldover clasp decorated with a polished Omega logo.
