Milus ZETIOS Automatic
The watch line ZETIOS pays homage to the tradition-rich past of the Swiss watch firm Milus. The classical form of this men’s watch – unpretentious and stylishly elegant – is reminiscent of design at the time of the foundation of the Milus watch brand in 1919. The name of the new classical line ZETIOS is derived from the constellation of Cetus (the Whale), whose mythological origins are found in the Andromeda legend.
The harmonious, round case with its flattened outer rim is available in a choice of polished stainless steel or 18-carat red gold, and is finely complemented by subtly rounded details. The crown is integrated into an ingeniously curved protective housing and has a distinctive look with its embossed Milus logo. Rounded connecting elements join the case to an alligator, calf leather strap or steel bracelet in finest quality and ensure smooth wearer-comfort.
A curved sapphire crystal protects the stylishly designed, plain dial. Circular forms and curvature are clearly effective here too. Divergent areas and graduations create dramatic contrasts: the central circle of the electroplated dial has a ‘Clous de Paris’ finish in black, white or brown. Positioned at 12 o’clock, the large black on white date is displayed to its full advantage, and the snailed seconds dial stands out from the background at 6 o’clock, merging into the colour-matched hours display area with applied Arabic numerals.
A narrow outer ring with minutes index points rounds off the dial. The hours and minutes hands and the hour (5-minute) index points are partially coated with white SuperLuminova, which guarantees maximum readability in darkness. Loving attention to detail is also apparent in the screwed down case back with its round sapphire-crystal viewing window.
The classical design is appropriately complemented by a mechanical Swiss quality watch movement with automatic winding.
