By enriching it with a new useful complication, the Manufacture Vulcain is presenting a development eagerly anticipated by all devotees of the successful Aviator Dual-Time collection launched three years ago. The new Aviator Dual-Time Quantième thus houses a new evolution of the Cricket alarm calibre which, since 1947, has shaped the legend of the brand from Le Locle.
The new Vulcain Cricket Calibre V-11 displays an additional function in the shape of a date window at 6 o’clock. Calibre V-11 is made up of 187 meticulously finished parts including blued steel screws. Equipped with a double barrel, it offers a power reserve of 40 hours and an alarm tone lasting 15 seconds. This hand-wound 12-lignes calibre (measuring 28 mm in diameter) drives the hour, minute, seconds, date and mechanical alarm functions.
The dual time-zone display, a characteristic feature of the Aviator Dual-Time collection, is activated by the crown at 4 o’clock. Like its predecessor within this prestigious lineage, the Cricket Calibre V-11 movement is equipped with the famous patented Vulcain Exactomatic system ensuring improved rating regularity on the wrist.
The Aviator Dual-Time Quantième is housed within a satin-brushed/polished case, measuring 42 mm in diameter and endowed with a double back serving as a resonance chamber, which is perfectly water-resistant to a depth of 100 metres.
Bearing fresh witness to the concern for detail that the Manufacture Vulcain devotes to each of the parts within its timekeepers, the two crowns and the push-button are struck with the brand logo or with the name of the function they control. Available in silvered, charcoal grey or blue shades, the dial features a guilloché-worked base in keeping with the noblest watchmaking traditions.
Applied Roman numerals and hour-markers enhance the overall effect and ensure optimal readability, along with luminescent rhodium-plated hands and a luminescent rhodium-plated alarm hand tipped with a red arrow. The Aviator Dual-Time Quantième is available on a double-stitched alligator strap, rubber strap or steel bracelet.
