RYSER KENTFIELD WATCHES
Ryser Kentfield is a Swiss luxury watch brand founded by Urs Ryser, a native of Biel, Switzerland. After the intensive training at Cantonales Technikum (a technical institute specialized in training watchmakers), he joined the Rado Watch Company. Later on he established his own watch brand, Ryser Kentfield.
Each Ryser Kentfield timepiece is crafted by hand from start to finish by master Swiss watchmakers using the highest grade materials. Movements are manufactured in Switzerland and hand assembled by master Swiss watchmakers.
Ryser Kentfield, based in Kentfield, CA, USA designs and builds distinctive timepieces that reflect the craftsmanship and artistry of its Swiss founder and owner, Urs Ryser. Ryser grew up in Biel, Switzerland, and from an early age was surrounded by watchmaking.
Educated at the Cantonales Technicum in Biel, he learned about technical and artistic micro-mechanics, before moving on to the world-renowned Rado Watch Company in Lengnau to further his knowledge and experience. In 1981, Ryser visited California, and soon decided to emigrate there, to explore his career options. He worked in several Bay Area stores repairing watches, but realized he wanted to start his own business.
In 1990 he opened Swiss Timepieces, a store in Kentfield where he has repaired and restored watches and clocks. He founded Ryser Kentfield in 1995 to produce his own designs.
Motivated to achieve the perfection for which Swiss watchmakers are known, Ryser has relied on perseverance and patience to make his finished products distinct. Watch making is a complex and labor-intensive process. His timepieces convey charm and class, symbolizing a time when people were not so hurried; when a moment could be savored.
The company currently produces three lines: the Deco 35mm , Deco 40mm and Deco 40mm Skeleton. This classic design appeals to both men and women who are looking for a timepiece to augment fine jewelry with the combined attributes of neo-art-deco style and 21st Century craftsmanship and accuracy.
The watch features an automatic, self-winding Swiss-movement, water resistance to 50m, date, sapphire crystal, and a solid stitched leather or Alligator strap, in various colors, with a unique folding clasp. Customer service is of utmost importance to Ryser Kentfield. Ryser cares for the products he produces and strives to provide quality service and after-sales care.
Ryser Kentfield watches are available in San Francisco Bay Area stores, including Chatel & Co. of Carmel CA, Given Gold Jewelers of Oakland, Ruback and Co in Kansas and of course, his own store Swiss Timepieces of Kentfield CA. The Watches will be soon Available in Switzerland and Europe.
As Ryser Kentfield continues to grow, the watches will become more widely available throughout the World. New production channels are being developed for the Neo-Art Deco line, and Ryser plans to spend time developing new designs and specializing in Complication Watches .
