The ZENO-WATCH BASEL obtained 300 Record movements (formerly Longines), and immediately came up with the idea of using these in a large wristwatch. The stainless steel casing combines the design of both a pocket watch and a classic 1940s wristwatch.
In order to make the watch look as authentic as possible, the original enamelled dial was incorporated, thus giving the Record watch the real finishing touch.
The enamel is coloured with metal pigment and has a trademark shimmer. The original Record pocket watch mechanism, manufactured around 1940, was reassembled and adjusted by hand in the ZENO workshop.
The watch features a 49mm stainless steel with big onion crown and genuine, original enamelled Record dial with railway-track-style minute divisions. The watch houses a vintage caliber Record 1460 mechanical hand-wound movement.
